The Frankopan princes of Krk shaped over five centuries of Croatian history, leaving behind a legacy of numerous castles, fortresses, and palaces spread throughout the Kvarner region. This circular trekking trail connecting Crikvenica and Novi Vinodolski is perfect for recreational MTB or trekking cyclists eager to explore the beauty of the Riviera. After a warm-up along the coastal road to Selce, the trail gently ascends towards the hinterland and the vineyards after which the region is named. After exploring Novi Vinodolski, you will ascend to the “Gradina” viewpoint above Ledenice, and then continue on a panoramic gravel road through Bribir, offering stunning views of the eastern coast of Krk and the entire Crikvenica-Vinodol Riviera.
