Month of Blue Fish

From September 19 to October 19, the "Month of Blue Fish" takes place, linked to the "Blue Fish Route" project, created by the Crikvenica Tourist Board and inspired by the region’s rich fishing heritage. Why blue fish? Primarily because it was once one of the most important ingredients in traditional cuisine. Moreover, as early as the 18th century, Crikvenica’s fishermen were skilled and renowned experts in catching blue fish and other seafood, passing their knowledge and techniques down to generations of fishermen worldwide.
